Native trees of Aotearoa are extremely important for our ecosystem. They are vital for stabilising soils, reducing sedimentation, and moderating erosion. They improve the quality of our air, absorbing carbon dioxide and emitting oxygen. These are just a few reasons as to why natives are so important.

At Stonyridge, we understand this importance. Therefore, during the lockdowns in 2020, our front of house, kitchen and vineyard teams joined together to plant 300 native trees around our property.

These natives not only will provide breathtaking scenery for years to come, but also help our ecosystem thrive and support native wildlife.
